User Tips

Boiled or distilled water gives better results than tap water if you want perfectly clear 3D ice cubes – whether you’re making spheres or cubes. Below is my personal experience making 4 giant skulls.

Before First Use:

It is recommended to wash the tray before use, or heat it in the oven for 3–5 minutes if the silicone has a strong smell.

Step 1: Close the tray and make sure the side grooves of each skull are sealed.

Step 2: Fill each skull through the top opening with water – or make a fruit jelly or chocolate skull.

Step 3: Place in the fridge for about 6 hours.

Extra Tips for Clear Ice Skulls:

As mentioned, one factor is using clean water. Another key factor is controlling the cooling process.

Cool the water slowly to increase your chances of achieving a clear ice skull.

You can put the tray in the fridge at a lower temperature for several hours, then transfer to the freezer for another 4–6 hours.
